How do we complete a tiling job?

White rectangular wall tiles laid in a brick pattern behind a white toilet, sink and bath.

1. Brief

We want to make sure we understand exactly what your requirements are and what you are hoping your bathroom will look like once the tiling is complete. We want to understand what stage of planning you are at - perhaps you have a full bathroom design planned out, including the tiles, or maybe you need support in understanding what is possible.

2. Bathroom inspection

We will visit your bathroom and measure up the walls/floors in question. We will review the quality of your walls / floors and whether they need leveling before the bathroom tiles go on. If you don’t ensure your walls / floors are straight this could result in all sorts of problems including an uneven appearance, a lack of water resistance, or even an inability to properly install the bathroom tiles altogether.

3. Planning & Consultation

We will consult you on any extra considerations we may have spotted. We will also ensure the bathroom design is firmed up at this point. You need to pick out bathroom tiles to fit the bathroom aesthetic you want at a price you are happy with. You then need to confirm the number of tiles to be ordered, which we (and any good tilers) recommend to be at least 10% above the number you need. This is because tiles often need to be cut to fit corners which will result in the need for more tiles than expected.

4. Tiling

Once you are 100% happy, we will proceed with the tiling (along with any other bathroom installation services you need). We will do so with the utmost care and attention to detail. The final step is applying the grout. After that, we will leave you to enjoy your elegant bathroom in all its glory.
