What bathroom styles are there?

There are infinite options for your bathroom style - here are a few examples:

Scandanavian bathroom

There’s nothing like the clean aesthetic of a Scandinavian bathroom. This kind of bathroom puts emphasis on creating space through clever storage and minimalist design. The overall feel is fresh, with mainly light colours mixed with natural materials such as wood and large mirrors to reflect natural light and maximise the spaciousness in the room.

Victorian Bathroom

There’s something thrilling about walking into a grand Victorian style bathroom in all its glory. From the free-standing bath tub to the deep dark colour palette, the overall feeling is luxurious. Characterised by ornate decorative elements - you will often see elaborate, decorative tiles, a stained glass window or perhaps some impressive marble surfaces.

Industrial Bathroom

Inspired by factories and warehouses, industrial bathroom designs will deliver exposed or unfinished elements such as concrete, brick or metal. The palette will often feature a grey base, with metal accents. Brass features are common, through the use of exposed piping or the design of lighting fixtures. This kind of design can be incredibly striking and deliver a beautiful, unique feel for your bathroom.

Mediterranean Bathroom

Mediterranean bathroom design is focused on creating a relaxed, joyous atmosphere. Mediterranean bathrooms often heavily feature plants: imagine real living plants in terracotta pots as well as trees & vines sketched into the designs on mosaics and bathroom tiles. Fixtures and fittings will often adopt a curved design to create a flowing atmosphere reminiscent of sea waves. Overall the design of a mediterranean bathroom encourages a slower pace, in a spa-like environment with a focus on well-being.

What happens before the design?

1. Brief

Before we begin work, we will focus on understanding your needs, desires and any ideas you already have for your bathroom design. We will discuss questions such as:

  1. Do you have a particular style in mind for your bathroom? What feel are you hoping to create? How can we build this into the fixtures and fittings to help deliver the aesthetic you’re hoping for?
  2. Have you picked out particular fixtures, fittings and tiles already? How can we help you finalise these choices?
  3. Do you have any special features you would like to integrate into your bathroom design? Do you want us to consult you on these possibilities?
  4. Do you have any special requirements or disabilities that we should accommodate as part of the bathroom design? If so, it is very important to us to ensure we deliver what you need by gathering a good understanding of how we can help.
  5. What is your budget? What are your priorities, so we can help you get as much value as possible from your budget?

2. Bathroom inspection

We will review your space in its current state to identify any considerations. For example we will review whether the plumbing will need changing or moving to accommodate your plans. We will also review how much of the old bathroom will need to be stripped out. We will measure the area to ensure the measurements of products to be ordered are correct. We will then consult you on any changes to the plan or any considerations that may impact the plan. We want to make sure you are 100% happy before we proceed with your bathroom installation.
